By creating an account, accessing, or using ShelfLoop, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

ShelfLoop is a community platform that helps users discover, list, borrow, lend, buy, sell, donate, give away, and exchange books.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, ShelfLoop is not the owner, seller, lender, borrower, or custodian of books listed by users. Users remain responsible for their listings, communications, exchanges, payments, and conduct.

• You must provide accurate and current account information.
• You are responsible for protecting your password, OTPs, and account access.
• You must not create accounts using another person's identity or information.
• Minors should use the platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• You must promptly update information that becomes inaccurate.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items.
• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, defraud, or impersonate another person.
• Use the platform for spam, unauthorized advertising, or unrelated commercial activity.
• Attempt to bypass security, OTP, verification, access-control, or transaction safeguards.
• Upload malware or interfere with the platform, its systems, or other users.
• Collect or misuse another user's personal information.

Users are responsible for ensuring that listing details, ownership, condition, availability, pricing, photographs, and descriptions are accurate and lawful.

ShelfLoop may remove, restrict, or correct listings that appear inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, duplicated, or inconsistent with platform rules.

• Users should communicate clearly and honour accepted exchange commitments.
• Pickup and return steps may require OTP verification.
• Users must not share an OTP before the applicable handover has taken place.
• Borrowers must take reasonable care of borrowed books and return them as agreed.
• Owners and borrowers are responsible for checking book condition during pickup and return.

Where a transaction includes a price, rent, deposit, late charge, delivery cost, or other amount, the participating users are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to it before completing the transaction.

Any bill or transaction record generated by the platform is a record of information entered or confirmed through the workflow and is not independent verification of the physical exchange or payment.

Ratings and reviews must reflect genuine experiences and must not contain abusive, defamatory, deceptive, or irrelevant content. ShelfLoop may moderate or remove content that violates these terms.

Users should use reasonable judgment when meeting another user, choose safe public or community locations where appropriate, protect personal information, and avoid proceeding with an exchange that appears suspicious or unsafe.

ShelfLoop may restrict, suspend, deactivate, or terminate access when necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, enforce these terms, comply with law, or maintain platform security.

Users may be prevented from deleting or deactivating an account while transactions remain in progress.

The platform, software, branding, design, and original content belong to their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

By uploading content, you confirm that you have the right to use it and grant ShelfLoop a limited licence to host, display, process, and use it for operating and promoting the platform.

The platform may depend on third-party services for authentication, hosting, email, maps, storage, analytics, or other functionality. Their availability and terms may affect parts of the service.

The platform is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, ShelfLoop does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, the accuracy of every user listing, the conduct of users, or the condition, legality, or suitability of any book.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ShelfLoop and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from user conduct, offline exchanges, lost or damaged books, unauthorized account access, third-party services, or use of the platform.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims or losses resulting from your unlawful conduct, your content, your listings, your exchanges, or your violation of these terms.

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the revised terms.
