ShelfLoop began with a simple question: why should a good book stay unused after one person has finished it?
The problem we saw
Books are bought often, but reused rarely.
Like many families, we noticed good books slowly filling up shelves — story books, school books, novels, and once-used finds that still had value. At the same time, someone nearby may be looking for that exact book.
Books were piling up
Many books are used once and then left untouched for months or years.
Someone else needed them
The right next reader could be a child, student, parent, neighbour, or friend.
The idea was simple
